Six Denver City Lax middle school participants and two coaches are spending the week at New Hampton School in New Hampshire at MetroLacrosse’s overnight SummerBounce camp experience. SummerBounce, established in 2001 by MetroLacrosse, is hosted at a rural site with the goal of encouraging youth to step outside their comfort zone and take on new experiences. SummerBounce brings 100 youth and adults together from different cities across the country. Campers learn to work together through a combination of lacrosse skill sessions, games, ropes course activities, teambuilding initiatives and workshops and leadership training. High school age Denver City Lax players will attend a second session of SummerBounce in August.
Thanks to MetroLacrosse and the Mikel Olson Foundation for making this experience possible for Denver City Lax.
