July 23, 2014 - 10:55 PM

The FIL World Lacrosse Championships recently took place at Dicks Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO  from July 10-19.  Thirty eight countries from around the world traveled to Denver to take part in the festivities and compete for a World Championship.  Coach Dillon and Team Canada took home the World Championship.

We’re thrilled for Coach Dillon!  He put an immense amount of training and hard work into preparing to compete on the World’s stage.  Dillon’s level of commitment and hard work will hopefully serve as an example to the young City Lax student athletes who look up to him.

In addition to Dillon, there are several other close City Lax ties on Team Canada.  Matt Brown (University of Denver Associate Head Coach) who served as Canada’s Offensive Coordinator is a current Denver City Lax Board of Director.  Mark Matthews, Cameron Flint, and Jeremy Noble have all been big supporters of City Lax for several years.
